Helped by God!
Isaiah 40 v 28v31.
Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding.
29 He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.30 Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion.
31 But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.
What Makes the Difference in our Lives?
Some run and grow weary, others soar, BUT all have storms. There is one thing that mankind must understand and that is the 'God Factor'.
We require more than information, intelligence and human strength. There are many times that we are doing everything we know to do and still nothing seems to be happening.
Romans 9 v 16
So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.
Psalm 127 v 1 -2
Unless the Lord builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted.
Unless the Lord protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good.
2 It is useless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night,
anxiously working for food to eat; for God gives rest to his loved ones.
Unless the Lord protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good.
2 It is useless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night,
anxiously working for food to eat; for God gives rest to his loved ones.
There will be times when your boat is in the water, you have the fishing skills, but there may be no fish. We need the God Factor, we need HIS HELP.
There is a gap that ONLY God can fill. It cannot be filled with our own intelligence or wisdom, our hard work, money or resources.
Acts 26v 22
Having therefore OBTAINED HELP of God, I continue unto this day.
2 Chronicles 26 3-5
Uzziah was sixteen years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-two years. His mother was Jecoliah from Jerusalem. He did what was pleasing in the Lord’s sight, just as his father, Amaziah, had done. Uzziah sought God during the days of Zechariah, who taught him to fear God. And as long as the king sought guidance from the Lord, God gave him success.
v 15 - And he built structures on the walls of Jerusalem, designed by experts to protect those who shot arrows and hurled large stones[f] from the towers and the corners of the wall. His fame spread far and wide, for the Lord gave him marvelous help, and he became very powerful.
Psalm 121 v 1-2
I look up to the mountains—does my help come from there?
2 My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth!
2 My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth!
We must have an encounter with the 'MAKER' who is the 'HELPER'. We cannot make true lasting progress by our own intentions or by principles alone. In other words, we can do everything we know to do and still fail.
We DARE NOT and cannot do anything lasting without the HELP of God.
HELP means - to make easy or possible for someone to do or achieve something by offering your service and resources.
When we are HELPED, it doesn't take away our responsibility, but we are given aid, leverage, a lifting that is beyond our own strength. Many have experienced the mercy, or help of God, in deep times of trouble and have not realised it. But for the Child of God, this help is available everyday in everyway.
There are 3 ways God helps men.
1- He gives us access to His throne of Grace, where we will find or obtain mercy and help in times of trouble. (Hebrews 4v16)
2 -By exposing and giving you access to the ministry of men or angels. Remember that God blesses men through men.
3 - He gives us strength, comfort and help through the Person and the Ministry of the Holy Spirit.
These 3 areas, require meditation and understanding of God's ways. (not our own interpretation)
1. Many are not coming with confidence before God's throne of Grace, because they feel they are not worthy of God's love or help.
2. One of the greatest weapons of the enemy is 'ISOLATION'. If the enemy can cause us to withdraw and isolate ourselves from men, we will be cut of from the flow of God's help through men.
3. The Person and Ministry of God the Holy Spirit is greatly mis-understood or completely ignored.
Some love the ministry of men BUT not that of the Holy Spirit while others think they love the Holy Spirit but do not love 'men' BOTH are out of order - they DO NOT WORK.
We cannot choose how God will show us help or mercy, we must seek to understand and obtain in all 3 areas.
Psalm 145 v 8
The Lord is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.
God is Love,( 1 John 4 v 8) and his love is consistent, while men can get tired and weary of loving and helping others, God's mercies are new every morning.
He loves us so much that he tied his mercy to the morning. In other words, he will never run out of love and mercy. Remember It is his very nature.
Many Christians fail or fall in life, not because they are bad, but because they have not understood the nature of God OR the nature of mankind. Therefore they have not understood or mastered how to find or obtain mercy which is God's divine assistance.
Remember we have been warned "the arm of flesh will fail us" DO NOT put your trust in man (that includes ourselves) - so do not let offense or hurt stand in your way. GET YOUR EYES OF MEN, because before God's throne of Grace there is no excuse, we cannot blame others.
It takes humility to obtain God's mercy, because God resists the proud. If you say, I don't need people - I don't need anyone's help - you are not only cutting of men from your life but God also. If you say that you don't need God's intervention - you are limiting yourself to your own ability. BUT when you say, you don't need the Person or Ministry of the Holy Spirit you are cutting yourself of COMPLETELY.
I woke up with this scripture and I want to share with you and I pray that your spiritual eyes will be opened, destroying all confusion, deception, weakness and weariness.
Gens 28 v 16 - 17
Jacob awoke from his sleep and said "Surely the LORD is in this place, and I wasn't even aware of it!" But he was also afraid and said, "What an awesome place this is! It is none other than the house of God, the very gateway to heaven."
MANY NEED TO AWAKE FROM THEIR SLEEP TODAY!
(Read - Ephesians 5 v 1 - 20)
The warning I hear in the spirit today is, tell my people, DO NOT NEGLECT the House of God. When the people of God gather together in a place that is dedicated to God, it becomes holy ground. As we gather together, we DARE NOT point the finger or look at others, GOD'S PRESENSE IS THERE TO HELP - EVERYONE - don't miss it by looking at others. Don't miss his help by looking at your situation - TURN YOUR EYES UPON JESUS.
Be like Jacob AWAKE FROM YOUR SLEEP (or weariness). and say "Surely the LORD is in this place AND I WASN'T EVEN AWARE OF IT".
Many listened to Jesus, many heard him teach, they saw him do mighty miracles but still didn't even recognise him and therefore COULD NOT receive from Him.
When we come together to worship God, let's not forget that he has promised to be with us. Let's come together with a Holy reverence for His Presence, His Word and His Spirit and His People.
Our Heavenly Father gave His Son, who gave His life to set us free. He sent his Holy Spirit to be our comforter, our helper. He has freely given and made available to us, HIS STRENGTH and HIS HELP - he desires to carry you - he desires to lift you - he desires to comfort you - MORE THAN YOU CAN EVEN IMAGINE.
Psalm 100 v 3-5
...Know that the LORD is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and bless His name. For the LORD is good, and His loving devotion endures forever; His faithfulness continues to all generations.…
