How to see God's Word fulfilled in your life

HOW TO SEE GOD’S WORD FULFILLED IN YOUR LIFE?

No spoken Word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment. Luke 1 v 37.  If God speaks something, it will come to pass.

Ezra 1v1 Amp.  In order to fulfill the Word (will) of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah the prophet, the LORD stirred up (put in motion) the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia.

Prayer point   - Father, may every word you have spoken to me to be fulfilled by the stirring of my heart and the hearts of others.  Put in motion everything that is needed, to fulfil your plans and purposes. Amen.

God’s Word is like a seed; it comes filled with instructions to produce according to its own kind.

Question – Am I willing to hear, listen and respond to his instructions?

God himself stands over and watches over His own Word, making sure it is fulfilled.

Jer. 1v12  - Amp - Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over my Word to perform it.

Jer 1v12 – KJV – “For I will hasten my Word to perform it”.

Jesus taught in the parable of the sower, that in order for the seed (THE WORD) to produce is must take root and be established in good ground.  (Matthew chapter 13)

The Word of God is good seed; it contains everything needed to be productive.  We can pray that he will help us to prepare our hearts to become the good ground that his Word can take root and be established in us.

Isaiah 55 v 11 God’s Word accomplishes that which He pleases and purposes and it prospers in the thing for which He sent it.

WHAT IS THE CONDITION FOR SEEING THE WORD OF THE LORD ACCOMPLISED IN OUR LIVES?

Isaiah 55 v 6 -11 v. 6  SEEK, INQUIRE and REQUIRE the LORD while He may be found [claiming Him by necessity and by right] CALL upon Him while He is near.

Word study -   SEEK = desire, find, ask

INQUIRE = ask, investigate, look into

REQUIRE = need for a particular purpose, make necessary

Cross Reference scriptures  New Testament – James 4 v8 “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.  Cleanse your hands, you sinners and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

Jer. 29 v 12-14 “ Then you will call on Me and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear [your voice] and I will listen to you. 13 Then [with a deep longing] you will seek Me and require Me [as a vital necessity] and [you will] find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,’ says the Lord, ‘and I will restore your fortunes and I will [free you and] gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you,’ says the Lord, ‘and I will bring you back to the place from where I sent you into exile.’

NOTE:  When studying the Old Testament scriptures, always look for a NEW TESTAMENT scripture to cross reference with.  Bringing the old into the LIGHT of the NEW.  It is important that we remember that CHRIST has fulfilled the old, and brought us into his LIGHT.

Isaiah 55 continues – v7 – Let the wicked forsake HIS WAY and the unrighteous man HIS THOUGHTS; and let him RETURN to the LORD and He will have love, pity and mercy for Him, and to our God, for He will multiply to him His abundant pardon.

(think about the prodigal son, how the Father could not restore him, until he decided to return.  Then the Father was waiting and ran out to meet him.) Take careful note of the instructions given in v.7.

What are your WAYS, and your THOUGHTS?  Take time to reflect if they are in alignment with God’s ways and thoughts.

v 8 – For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the Lord.  v 9 – For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. v 10 – For as the rain and snow come down from the heavens and return not there again, but water the earth and make it bring forth and sprout, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater.

TAKE NOTE – the rain comes from heaven, waters the earth – so that the EARTH brings forth and sprouts SEED to the sower and bread to the eater.

If you think of your heart as being the ‘earth’ and the rain being the Holy Spirit bringing the WORD down to us.  The Word, is that SEED that grows and produces everything we need (our bread).

v 11 – So, shall my WORD BE that goes forth out of my mouth, IT shall not return to me void [without producing any effect] BUT IT SHALL accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Jesus said we shall not live by bread alone (natural things and words) but by every WORD that PROCEEDS FROM THE MOUTH OF GOD.

NOTICE – v 11 says “SO, shall MY WORD BE that goes forth OUT OF MY MOUTH”.

This is why, we must ask for God’s Word, his will to be made known to us in everything. (We must gain the wisdom to know and understand that we cannot simply quote scriptures.)

Proverbs 3 v 5 -6 – Trust in the LORD with ALL your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in ALL your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths.

GOD’S WORD PRODUCES GOOD RESULTS just like GOOD SEED produces GOOD FRUIT

Spiritual LAW/Principle = Every SEED (spiritual or physical) produces after its own kind.

What are you doing with the SEED?

Isaiah 40v8  The grass withers, the flower fades, (natural, physical seed) but the word of our God (spiritual seed) stands forever.

cross reference scripture – New Testament - 1 Peter 1 v 24-25  For all flesh (natural seed) is like grass and its glory like the flower of grass.  The grass withers and the flower drops off.  (our bodies and the works of our flesh are physical and fade away) BUT the Word of the LORD (his DIVINE SEED) ENDURES forever.  AND this WORD is the good news which was preached to you.  (the sower sows GOOD SEED by preaching the WORD OF GOD).

Psalm 119 v 160  The sum of your WORD is truth (the total of the full meaning of all your individual PRECEPTS) and every one of your RIGHTEOUS DECREES endures forever.

Word study  -  PRECEPTS = a rule or law intended to regulate behaviour or thought

RIGHTEOUS = good, excellent, right

DECREES = an official order that has the force of law

If our precepts (our core beliefs and ideology) are NOT in total alignment with God’s precepts, we will be forever creating wrong concepts.  Thus, wrong precepts – create MIS-CONCEPTIONS.

Matthew 5 v 18  - God’s Word will never pass away.

Hebs 1 v 23 God is dependable and faithful to HIS WORD.

The WORD of God is tested, tried and proven. (2 Sam. 22v31, Psalm 18v30, Proverbs 30 v 5)

GOD keeps HIS WORD even if men don’t keep theirs.  GOD’s WORD is true and will come to pass – NO MATTER what people do, say or believe.

The question is, will you be in the centre of his will or let it pass by?

God’s Word will work for you WHEN you will believe it. (to believe, is more than agreement it is total ALIGNMENT).

Example:  Agreement is saying “I know that God can heal me”.  BUT Alignment is saying “I know that Jesus has already healed me”.

Read – Romans 3v3-4, 2 Tim. 2 v 13, 1 Thess. 2 v 13, Romans 4 v 18 v 21

Prayer Point - FATHER, Let the seed of your Word, which contains everything necessary for your plans and purposes take root and be established in my heart.  Let your will be done in my life as it is in heaven.  Teach me your ways and your thoughts.
