Grace for Divine Protection - Bible Study notes

Image
Grace for Divine Protection Continuing our Bible Study from the Book of Ezra. Chapter 8 tells us about the exiles who returned to Jerusalem with Ezra and their journey. Before Ezra and the rest of the exiles began their journey back to Jerusalem, it is interesting in verse 15, that 'not one Levite had volunteered to come along".  verse 17, Ezra asked "send us ministers for the Temple of God at Jerusalem. I am reminded of what Jesus said in Luke 10 v 2 "The harvest is great, but the workers are few.  So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields." I believe this is the same instruction for every generation.  Pray to the Lord “SEND more workers”!   In every generation, there must be those who are SENT.   Not just those who have a vision, a message, or a calling but those who are SENT out from God's presence, those who are filled with his Word and his Spirit, those who have been SENT t...

GRACE FOR FAVOUR Ezra 6 v 22 Then they celebrated the Festival of Unleavened Bread for seven days.   There was great joy throughout the land because the LORD had caused the King of Assyria to be favourable to them, so that he helped them to rebuild the Temple of God, the God of Israel. Last time, we looked at Blessed to BE a blessing.   Now we will look at the FAVOUR needed to fulfill your God given destiny. READ Ezra chapter 7 some verses to take careful note of ;  v.6.  v 10.  v.14.  v.20. v 27 - 28. NOTES;  This probably took place about 50 years after the temple was rebuilt.  Ezra was the 16th Grandson of the High Priest Aaron.  Ezra was a scribe, which means he was a student of the Law of God. He had given himself to Study, Obey and to Teach the Law of God to the people. The Book of Ezra teaches us that when we find our God Given Purpose, and give ourselves to DO it, He will give us favour in the sight of men. (believers and...

How to see God's Word fulfilled in your life

Image
HOW TO SEE GOD’S WORD FULFILLED IN YOUR LIFE? No spoken Word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment. Luke 1 v 37.  If God speaks something, it will come to pass. Ezra 1v1 Amp.  In order to fulfill the Word (will) of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah the prophet, the LORD stirred up (put in motion) the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia.   Prayer point   - Father, may every word you have spoken to me to be fulfilled by the stirring of my heart and the hearts of others.  Put in motion everything that is needed, to fulfil your plans and purposes. Amen. God’s Word is like a seed; it comes filled with instructions to produce according to its own kind. Question – Am I willing to hear, listen and respond to his instructions? God himself stands over and watches over His own Word, making sure it is fulfilled. Jer. 1v12  - Amp - Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert and active...

Bible Study Notes - Blessed to be a blessing

Image
The Blessing of the Lord is 2 Fold - Blessed TO BE a Blessing. Remember God does everything on purpose and with purpose. When we study the bible, we are primarily seeking to know God and his ways.  Throughout the scriptures, we are given example after example of God's thoughts and his ways, being revealed to man.  Also, the bible tells us exactly as it is; it tells us of how men responded to God's thoughts and ways.  We see clearly, the role that men have to play in God's plans.  We see the responsibility given to men, in seeking and responding to God's wisdom in all aspects of life.  Remember that the Word of God reveals the will of God. I find it helpful, when reading the bible, instead of looking for hidden secrets and amazing and supernatural insights and revelations, simply, look for the heart of Father God, the creator, the Lord the owner of all creation, see how much he loves his creation, how patient and how gracious he is, also look carefully...
